Can't download my AVCHD movie files from my Handycam

Just got a Sony Handycam HDR-CX11 but can't import my movie files (AVCHD) to my Mac. The application delivered with the handycam is not supported by Mac... I have an IMac with leopard 10.5.4... Can anybody help me
