Question

resize to 16x20 without excessive cropping

I have a photo that looks great printed 4x6. I'd like to enlarge it to 16x20 but then it becomes cropped ruining the composition. Is there a way to do this without losing the full length and width of the photo? I've tried changing the image sizer in adobe elements but continue to experience the same problem

You'll need to crop the image to the same ratio as 16 x 20 or 4:5 to get it to fit the larger sized paper exactly as you see on the monitor. What was the ratio of the original photo? If you cropped to get 4 x 6 then do a Photo->Revert to Original and then re-crop to 4:5. That should get you more of the photo in the picture than cropping the 4x6.

It's 4x6 so to make it larger with the same proportions, it would have to be 16x24.
If you want it 16x20, you will have to crop it (or mash the sides in, thereby distorting it).
