Anyone else having Bluetooth keyboard problems with new mini?

I got the new mini, the base model and am having a problem, wondering if anyone else does too.

The mini is paired via Bluetooth to the aluminum Apple keyboard. Also connected is a Microsoft Explorer Mini mouse which also runs at 2.4 GHz (though it's not paired via Bluetooth). With my previous Mac mini, I never had a problem. With the new one, however, about half the time I do something somewhat CPU/GPU intensive such as turn on the screensaver or watch a high-def movie (either an Apple H.264 trailer or a downloaded video), the keyboard loses the connection with the Mac and an graphic appears on the screen saying connection lost. Sometimes the keyboard reconnects, and sometimes I have to press a key first for it to reconnect. It's rather annoying.

The keyboard has not given me a single problem with my old mini in the past year, so I know that's not what is broken.

So is anyone else having this problem?

MacBook Pro, Mac mini, Windows PCs, iPhone 3G, iPod classic, iPod nano

I had high hopes that 10.5.7 would solve the incessant "connection lost" message, and it appeared to for a while, but unfortunately it's back with a vengeance. I would love to just disable this message. If the connection is actually ever lost, it's only for a nanosecond or so and is therefore totally irrelevant. But having the stupid message appear over and over again in the middle of a movie is really irritating. Apple, please just allow the choice to display this message or not.

What you have is a different problem. That problem appears on different macs. But you could use your mac after the short disconnect. The new problem with the new mac minis is that the mouse and the keyboard stop responding and dont come back. The only solution was to force shutdown the system or sleep and wake it.
But your prob should also be fixed.

Had the same issue when I bought my Mac mini in April with the Apple wireless keyboard and mouse; frequent disconnects and/or mouse freezes (had to push the power button on my mac mini to jump into sleep mode then use the bluetooth keyboard to wake it up, even though the keyboard wasn't responding before). The work around was a pain but it worked. Now, after a somewhat difficult update to 10.5.7, I have no issue with the bluetooth keyboard and mouse (thus far).

I think you are just a bad luck.
Although I have the same situation here with my second Mac mini, but I don't want to return it because I know exactly it is not a "Problem". It is just a batteries saving operation. Apparently Apple just released a new Bluetooth update, I shouldn't have installed it, because I know how to handle it with the original bluetooth system.

I lost bluetooth connection then I click bluetooth icon and select "my keyboard's name", and select disconnect, then reconnect it, it works and then no disconnection anymore.

I don't know what will happen after I installed the just released Bluetooth Update? Will the batteries saving operation be gone? I hope not.

Anyone else having Bluetooth keyboard problems with new mini?
