iPhone 2G voice mic not working

Has anyone come across iPhone 2G voice mic not working (not being heard by the other person) but works fine on speaker phone and bluetooth headset. It has been working fine so far and suddenly developed this problem! Any help is highly appreciated….

I had that problem with my iPhone 3G after about 5 days.
I just had Apple take a look at it.
They cleaned it out, called it and stuff.
Didn't work.

Since I didn't drop it in water and it was not my fault in any way, they gave me a brand new one.

this happened to me with my iphone 3g.. i took it in to apple and just replaced it.. hopefully u still got warranty and if u do take it to apple and they will just give u another one..

Thanks all for the replies! I am on a 18 month contract and this is the 13th month which has just started. Would I still be covered under warantee?

mayyyyybeee.. i think iphone warranty expires in 1yr after it is purchased unless u got the extra one that u had to pay for through apple.. but go to apple and see what happens..
