How to sync iphone with 2 computers

I've done a lot of searches and have seen nothing that doesn't look like a "hack" to sync my iphone to two computers. There are two iphones in my house and two computers. I purchase songs and applications on both computers with one iTunes account (each computer has different stuff). WHy can't I sync my two iphones on either computer. I have paid for applications and songs on both computers, but I can't load them on both my phones. Is there a way to do this?

One iPhone – Two or More Computers

Typically, an iPhone can be synced with an iTunes library on a single computer only for Music and Photos. You are able to sync contact info, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks on multiple computers.

If you want to sync Music/Photos on multiple PCs then the link examples below may help. While not an Apple endorsed method, you can see these workarounds (two of many examples):
i) One iPhone, Two Computers, Many Solutions
ii) How to sync an iPhone with two (or more) Computers

Generally, a Google search will yield more than enough websites that can assist you should you need more options. They are not too hard to find. Search, Evaluate, then choose one that makes you comfortable.

With both computer's connected in some fashion - directly or via the same wireless network, or with an external drive.

A follow up question would be what happens when my computer dies? My iPhone won't be able to sync to the new computer, correct?

One of the reasons why maintaining a backup of all important data on your computer's hard drive which should include your iTunes library stored on an external drive or some other external media used for backup purposes only is important. This is important regardless the platform, but even more so with a Windows PC due to constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns.

Allan,
Thanks for the help. I do have my two computers on a wireless network. I hate to be a pain but how do I move my iTune files and applications from one to the other computer? I'm assuming you just don't click and drag.
