Warranty for iPhone 3G

Hello, I bought a refurbished iPhone 3G, and expected I would get a 1-year warranty (isn't this standard or am I mistaken?). I went on to the Apple Online Service Assistant to check the status of my warranty, and I get the following: "Your product is eligible for complimentary phone support which is estimated to expire on November 05, 2010."
I don't think this means I have a warranty until that date, does it? Does this mean I only have phone suport and not a warranty, and if so, why didn't I get a full warranty.
Also, off the the left of the screen, under my serial number and country, it displays "Custom Contract - in processing." Does this mean that my warranty status has not yet been processed, and I should wait for a while and check my status again to see a full warranty? I have had this phone for about 3 weeks, so I would assume processing would be done by now.
Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Refurbished iPhone 3G devices carry a warranty of 90 days or more. For details about the warranty on a specific refurbished iPhone 3G unit you can go into support and it'll have you put your serial number in and everything like that. Depending on the previous owner of that device. if they had it for 23 months your gonna get that 90 day warrenty if they had it for 1 month your gonna get 23 months of warrenty.
