How Do I Remove Keys

The key for number 7 on my keyboard as gone a bit wonky. How can I remove it, so I can put it back on and straighten it. I have a previous generation MacBook Pro with silver keys.

MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

While most people (including myself) strongly advise not attempting to remove/replace individual keys, you should have a look here:

http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/MacBook-Pro-15-Inch-Core-Duo-Keyboard/484/1

You should be able to see how to release single keys once you follow that guide.

There may be a way to remove keys without removing the entire keyboard but getting them back on will be a whole other ball game.

Careful!!!! With the redesign of the MBP, they switched the keyboard to one unibody keyboard, and individual keys are no longer removable., You don't say which MBP you have, but the last version of the MBP with the silver keys (early 2008) no longer has individually removable keys...you need to take your entire MBP in for repair. At an apple store, they will order the keyboard and when it comes in, you bring in your MBP, leave it for the day or two it takes them to replace it, and then get it back at the Apple Store.
