My MAC has been running very slow lately with internet, email, opening files, etc. It isn't my internet connection as that is fine with my other computers. Any help?

Some of the below may be dated so read with reserve. The tools are handy but I would only use for specific troubleshooting. Don't suddenly run everything under the sun thinking it will cure everything. #1 is to back up before running any tool because some of them can do harm if you do the wrong thing.

A low amount of RAM and an almost full hard drive can cause the slowness.

How much RAM do you have and is all of it operational? What size hard drive do you have & how much free space?

Odd, I am in the same situation, and this started about the time of last OS upgrade I think.
I have never had problems before, but now it is painful sometimes the delay that occurs.
I will be watching this with great interest. I have already run as many utilities as were freely available to me. No difference.
    Good Luck,
    Bart
