Command + Delete Stopped Working...

Not sure why your Command Delete isn't functioning. You're in the correct forum.

Try a different USB port.

Repair Disk Permissions. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select FirstAid, then click: Repair Disk Permissions. Quit ** when it's finished and reboot.

Not sure if you have solved your problem yet or not, but a couple of troubleshooting questions come to mind.

Did this brand new wired keyboard ever work correctly when using Command and Delete? And there are two Command keys, one at each end of the Shift bar. Are we to assume that neither Command key works when trying to delete. And does the Command key work otherwise during other Command operations. Just asking.

Since the wireless keyboards do not have a numeric pad (or a delete key), how do you "command-delete" a file/folder in the Finder? I tried remapping the shortcut in the Keyboard section of System Preferences, but it does not allow you to use the "backspace" key as a combination (the "backspace" key is labeled "delete", but is located above the backslash key).

Does anyone know a way to re-map the "Move to Trash" function to "command-backspace"?

The wireless keyboard's backspace is replaced with the delete key. But it functions as backspace and delete (with the fn key). So Command + Delete works the same way.

So, you're saying FN + Command + Delete?

I tried that (being the logical choice), but that didn't work for me...I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it's driving me crazy.
