Any way to clear the media browser?

Hello everyone,
Recently I rendered a file in iMovie and set it up in the media browser. It must have been corrupted or something, because now any time I open up the media browser, whichever application is running it will crash. Is there anything I can do for this?

I tried my best to remove the file, but cannot seem to find it. There were several versions of the same thing, and I deleted all of those that I can find, but the media browser still crashes. Isn't there some location where the media browser stores data? There's an option to share and choose a location, but when you choose to publish to the media browser it just starts encoding without asking where to put the file. Where do these files go?

I had done a spotlight search previously, and I just tried a smart folder search. I went through all of my videos and found nothing.

Could this be something related, but perhaps not caused by the video anymore? In addition to the media browser crashing upon me opening it, my computer boots extremely slow and hangs a bit even on the login screen. Also, my antivirus software has ceased booting at startup, but that is a recent addition. Is there some other approach I should be taking?

Thank you so much for all of your help thus far!

I did that last night and it came up clean.

I removed my antivirus software and that sped my computer up a great deal and cleared up my problems with a really slow login screen, but the media browser still crashes every time I open it.

Also, from what I've read, there are Mac viruses - although fewer than Windows, and Apple started advising users to install some sort of protection months ago. Realtime protection is probably not necessary, but some sort of scanner should be installed for weekly or monthly checkups.

Either way, without the antivirus software the media browser still crashes - is there any way to tell how it crashed, or exactly what file is the cause?
