Which iPod Touch, 16 GB or 32 GB?

I wanted to find out which iPod Touch (16 GB or 32 GB) is the better value? Also how many apps can each one hold? I don't think I will be putting any music on it (I've got an 80 GB classic for that). I have 22 apps, 4 movies, 3 audibooks, etc already waiting to be loaded (and will probably add more before I actually get the iPod Touch).

Toshiba Satellite A105-S4074, Windows XP, 2nd Gen 2GB Shuffle, 3rd Gen 8GB Nano, 4th Gen 16GB Nano, 6th Gen 80GB Classic

You bought apps BEFORE even owning an iPod touch (or iPhone)? Why would you do that...? 🙂

They are the same, except for the storage size. So it's not a matter of value, it's a matter of what you need it to hold. And a matter of affordability.

The movies will be the biggest space hog. So if you only put the movie you want to watch next on the iPod touch, so one (or two) movies at any given time, you will have more than enough space with either 16 or 32 GB. People watch movies once (twice if it's really good); they do not watch a movie over and over again like listening to songs. There is no sense in keeping any movie on an iPod permanently, just rotate them in and out as needed.

Well, for the apps, you can decide what you want and make a list without buying them before you have a way to use them. With the current rate of change for the iPhone OS world, by the time you get that touch, the new iPhone OS may be out and you may need updated versions of some of those apps.

I would hold out on buying any more until you have your iPod touch in your hands.
