My program (big bang chess) will not quit

My program (big bang chess) will not quit

When I log in to the computer, big bang chess opens up and even if I force quit, regularyly quit or go to activity monitor and quit, it opens up again in 5 seconds. Why is this happening? What can I do?

IMAC, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Hi Rajiv

Go to: *System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items* tab, then if it's in the Item list delete it.

I did that and it was not there. Actually nothing was there. That is what confused me.

If you have more than one account check in your Admin. or the other account, I'm thinking that "Open at Login" may have been selected at some point from the BB Chess icon on the dock.

Thanks for your help. I looked in my admin acct and it only opened the itunehelper and safari. No Big Bang. I am confused. It just wont shut down.

Try starting up in safe mode by rebooting while holding the shift key down. If it boots without big Bang Chess opening then find the preference file for it and trash it. Empty the trash. After that reboot normally and repair the disk permissions.
