Can't play synced music on iPhone

I downloaded music iTunes onto my computer and then synced it to my iPhone, but I cannot find the music so I cannot I play it on my iPhone. Please help.

When you select iPod followed by selecting Songs, there are no songs on your iPhone?

- Are you opening the iPod (orange) icon to play the music?
- When you sync do you see the music being copied over in the status window in iTunes?
- If everything seems to go over you can try de-authorizing and authorizing the computer then syncing the music again. This article tells you how:
