Inserting a grid within an email in Mail.

How do I insert a grid into a Mail email?

I need to do a list of equipment, model, price, Qty etc. I would like it to be in a simple grid within the body of the email. It will be received by Windows users so it need to be compatible.

Any ideas?

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

You don't. Although you may see tables in some HTML e-mails, Mail is not an HTML editor, so it will not help you create such things. If you need to e-mail tabular data to someone, put it in an Excel or Numbers file, or even a Word file with a table in it, and then attach that file to the e-mail.

as mentioned you can't make tables in Mail directly. you can either attach a file with a table as Thomas said or you can make an html file with an html editor of your choice, open it in safari and enter command+i. it will open this file in a mail message composition window with the table in it.

Thanks for the help. I did an Excel in the end and attached that.
