How do I print photo with file number?

I have taken a friend's senior pictures. I have quite a few for her to decide between. I've made a DVD with slideshow of photos to play on the TV since she is not too computer savy. I would also like to print a contact sheet with the file names so it is easier for her pick. I have iPhoto of course and Photoshop Elements 2. How do I print a simple contact sheet that has the file names?

There's a two ways to do that that I know of:

1 - set the background color of the Organize window to white and the view options to show the keywords. Put those photos in an album and select the album. Adjust the thumbnail size to get the number of photos per row that you want and make the iPhoto window as large as possible. Now take a screen shot of just the iPhoto window (use Grab or Snapz) and print that file.

2 -
Creating Contact Sheet with Titles
1 - Put the files you want to print in an album and arrange in the order you'd like.
2 - Go to the File->Export->Web Page menu option.
3 - While in the Web page window, select the number of thumbnails you'd like across each page (iPhoto will keep you informed on how many pages it will take).
4 - Click on Show Title under thumbnails and click on Export. Then select the location where you'd like the resulting files to be saved (create a temporary folder to contain them).
5 - Once saved, go the folder and open the index.html file with your browser. You will get a page with your thumbnails and titles beneath them.
6 - Print that browser page and you've got your contact sheet with file names (or comments if desired).
If you want more control over the thumbnail gallery, try using BetterHTMLExport.

Good luck.

ImageBuddy is exactly what you want. A very fine Application. It's just for the Mac. Ain't that great. I will allow you to have control on the margins, number or rows/colmns of images. Background color. Watermarking. Some font control.

What I do is this. I process my images in PS, but iPHoto would work also, save them to a file then open ImageBuddy. It will ask you for the file. It will then import them into it's viewer. From there you can choose Contact Sheet and have a choice or many options. When you have the contact sheet set. You got to Print>print to file. This will make files of your contact sheet. Then go to IPhoto if you want and import these contact pages. Works great.

Now If I could just get the iPhoto books to look decent.
