using more than one time capsule

Is it possible to backup my MBP to 2 different time capsules in 2 different locations and have the same backups? for instance, I'd like to back up my MBP at home every hour and also backup at my office every hour when I'm there.

I'd like both to back up anyhting new as of the last backup on that time capsule so i end up with duplicate backups in the event that something happens to either time capsule.

thanks.

Yes, you can do this. It's an excellent strategy.

You will have to tell TM each time you swap, via TM Preferences > Change Disk.

And the first backup after the swap will take somewhat longer than normal.

You'll have two, independent sets of backups. They won't be the same, exactly, as they'd be done at different times, but the result would be nearly the same.

Each would be current as of the last backup performed to that particular disk.
