Blue Mac G3 350 mhz - internal orange flatcable

A friend of mine has an older Mac G3 (Blue) 350 Mhz , year 1999).
He had some problems and one cable seems to be broken.
His brother removed the cable (orange, flatcable about an inch wide and 5 inches long) but I do not know from where he removed it .
I want to look for a replacement cable, so what could this cable be for.
I know I maybe do not post all the required info but that's all what I have right now.

The Cable you are talking about is the Modem cable. It attaches at the logic board next to the edge near the Memory. If you look at the logic board with the door open in front of you and the PCI cards to your right. It will attach at the edge closest to you on the right hand side. The other end attaches to the modem. The Modem kinda looks like it is floating above the logic board.
