How to get .azw file into iPod for Kindle app?

I've downloaded the Kindle application. Amazon's own website lets me download Kindle content onto my iPod--the site just does it automagically.

I also have some .azw-format Kindle files on my Mac in the regular downloads folder which I got from www.manybooks.net. This site just converts and downloads the files. I can't figure out how to get them from my Mac into my iPod touch. Does anyone know?

Unfortunately you cannot. If these are public domain books, you may want to check all Kindle books, sort by (reverse) price, and see if they appear on Amazon's Kindle books site with a zero cost. Then you can "buy" those books at no cost to you and they will appear in the Kindle app.

An alternative is to use Stanza app and re-download those books in different format.
