Hi guys! I have a very stange problem here. We have an Airport Express, 2 Macbooks, 2 iPhones and an Acer Aspire One netbook with XP. The thing is every Apple device connects to the Airport with no trouble at all, but the Acer machine drops connection after 5 minutes of activity online. The strange thing is, its still connected to the Airport, but can't browse the net anymore. I have tried everything on earth, but no luck. Just for the record, the Acer worked everywhere else. Sometimes we connect to next door's unsecured networks and no trouble for hours. So it seems like there is something with the Airport. Any ideas?
Having the same issue with my Acer Aspire One and my Airport Express. Turning the wireless card off an back on again repairs the problem breifly, but after several minutes the connection goes out again. Checking the network connection status shows that packets are being sent, but none are being received.
I experience the same problem here. The Aspire One has no problems at all with other networks except with my Timecapsule and Airport Express. Any workaround?
I was wrong. It broke again after a while. It is very likely that the two 802.11n cards (the Airport and the notebooks one) are not quite compatible. I have to install another 802.11g router to let the netbook connect to the LAN.
