new battery - cycle count '0'

Hi. I'm working on a friends MacBook Pro 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo. Running OS 10.4.11. 1GB Ram. He's been having battery and charging problems. The apple service centre reported that it needed a new battery.

I've brought a new battery (serial# 3K9063E9Z9BA), and charged it over night. It's up to 100 % and showing a battery life of over 3hr, all good so far. In the system profiler it shows a cycle count of '0'. I've restarted the computer, tried running from the battery and the external power supply. It all makes no difference. The battery seems to be working properly.

Is this some thing I should be worried about, or can I live with it? Will it fix it self? I'm living in Thailand, and I was able to find just 1 shop with 1 battery in stock. Every one else had to wait 2 weeks to order 1.
