Is there a plug-in for Safari use Active X or is there a Mac OS X browser that can us Active X? I work in a hospital and in order to view and electronically sign charts, an Active X plug-in is required of the browser.
Thanks.
ActiveX is a Microsoft Windows technology. The only way to use it is by using Microsoft Windows I'm afraid.
If you're desperate to use it on your MacBook Pro you could install Windows and use something like [VMWare Fusion 2.0|http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion> or [Parallels 4|http://www.parallels.com] to run Internet Explorer on your laptop.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess that the only real solution is installing Windows on the Mac through Boot Camp, VMWare Fusion 2.0 or Parallels 4 and then running Internet Explorer. Any thoughts on which is the easiest and most stable approach to Windows and the Internet Exploreron on a Mac.
BootCamp is probably the 'stablest' as for all intents and purposes your Mac is now a PC.
Fusion and Parallels will be more convenient I imagine, as you can run them on your normal OS X desktop, and share data between the systems.
Sun Microsystems also have a free virtual machine (like Fusion and Parallels) called [VirtualBox|http://www.virtualbox.org/attachment/wiki/Screenshots/VirtualBox
OSX_beta3.png]. If you do buy Windows for this task, that might be a good place to try things out and decide if you need the more feature-packed non-free competitors.
