Hi Margaret,
welcome to this forum 🙂
... I have some trouble to identify your... Mac; upper left corner, the Apple, "about this Mac"/system profiler... should tell us, what you use...
we have a high chance, you just need an adapter-cable; depending on what Mac you
really have 😉, your little friend should have some kind of "video out"; Apple sells some short cables, which fit perfectly into that and offer att the other end traditional VGA... that should be connected to the beamer (over here we call them beamer... too much StarTrek)
again, under the Apple/upper left, in the system's prefs/monitor, you can choose a resolution that fits the beamer... with some luck, your Mac identfies it automatically...
a cheap adapter cable and a pref file... no trouble?
yes. one hurdle to go:
IF you cannot choose the beamer as a second monitor (spanning), AND the beamer has just a small res, you cannot start iMovie for playback!
THEN we need QTpro for playback fullscreen.. (
... or get some free dirty hack to do so without buying additional software from Apple,.... pssst, they read this ... 😉 )
PB G3 + 10.1 let me guess you own a beautiful, but "old" Wallstreet Mac....
...... too many ifs.. tell us what Mac you own, processor type and MHz.. we should be able to identfiy the abilities of your graphic card ;-)))
