My EPSON printer doesn't print correctly the colors
Hi, I've an EPSON Stylus Photo R200 installed on my MacBook (OSX 10.4.11)... From some days, my printer doesn't print correctly the colors: I lunched the utility application and I saw that the printer doesn't print the "light magenta" (that's the light pink I think); that's strange, because his inkjet refill is not empty. I tried to do the clean process, but it don't start because there isn't enough ink in another two ink refill (yellow and light cyan, that aren't empty however).
Some ideas?
I suspect that the print orfices for the colors are clogged. Unless all colors are able to print, you won't be able to get the "correct" color. Are you using Epson ink cartridges, third party cartridges or refils of Epson cartridges? Epson printers frequently get clogs.
Do a Google search using *epson clogged print heads* and you will get some suggestions for unclogging the print head.
I searched with google "epson clogged print heads" and I've found some instructions that say that I've to disassemble the printer: I think it's quite dangerous, I risk to broke my printer... There aren't any alternatives?
However, I use original Epson ink cartridges, in the past I've tried some third part cartridges with bad results.
I've solved the problem changing the ink cartridges that were almost empty and then doing the print head's cleaning process... however thanks for the help Tom!
