A question please for iPhone veterans if I might.

I presently own a Blackberry Curve and am ready to get rid of it. I am strongly leaning towards the purchase of an iPhone 3G. While the browser of the Curve is horrible, it is very simple to load an Gmail account onto it and to attach a photo taken with the Curve onto an e-mail from a Gmail account.

How easy is it to load a Gmail account onto an iPhone? How easy is it to attach photos taken with an iPhone to an e-mail from a Gmail account that has been loaded onto the iPhone?

Thanks in advance for the help and looking forward to purchasing an iPhone.

Very. There is a Gmail preset when adding a new mail account to the iPhone

Very. You hit the "share" button in Photos and one of the options is to email.

Ansuz82, thank you for your guidance.

I use a phone camera frequently.

Note: this only works for one photo at a time. Sending three photos requires sending three emails.

The 3.0 update, this summer, will include the option to mail several photos in one message. You will also be able to send photos by MMS if you prefer.

Here is an article from the apple support website that might help out.

This is a preview of the new software coming out for the iphone this summer some time.

    Hope this helps.

raider3 - I am sorry to not be able to answer your question, but how the heck DO you attach a photo using Gmail on the Blackberry?? (I have a pearl and am not that happy with it either.) It's not in any of the menus! Sorry -- I know this is a pesky question not related to the question you are asking, but I couldn't help stumbling upon the thread via Google.

    Okay Ansuz82,

What happens if you make the mistake I did and write the e-mail and then try to attach a photo. I found out how to attach an e-mail to a photo easilly enough, but I'm damned if I can find out how to attach a photo to an e-mail.

You have to attach the photo prior to writing the email can't be done in the reverse unfortunately
