deleted keychain login files

deleted keychain login files

Meaning to delete a single expired login file on keychain, i deleted the entire login file. I have tried restoring the both the keychain app and the keychain files in both the system user library and it appears to restore but login category is still not there. what have I not done correctly (other than my deletion of the files in the first place).

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.6), MacBook Pro/PowerBook G4/iMac/Cube

I just got it. I went to File>New Keychain and finder went to /users/username/library/keychains/login.keychain and selected login.keychain and 'Login' with all of my individual account logins appeared. Thanks

the file you need to restore is /users/username/library/keychains/login.keychain. restore the file and log out/in.

I just tried that but login still doesn't show up in Keychain Access > Keychains >System; System Roots ["Logins" should be here also but isn't]
