Help!! Can't export project onto Videocamera

I don't know why I can't do this, I am connected via Firewire, and the camera is a Sony DCR-TRV 950, it imported fine, but now won't take my project back.

What can I do????

I to am having trouble. This is new, the camera is a TRV900 with dv in/out and has been used with great results and this is the first time I've come across it not sharing. I've ticked the boxes for pal and tried play video through to camera.it comes up with Lost Connection To Camera, Replacing the firewire has no effect.Hope someone can solve KK. Sheridan problem as it should sort mine as well.

I noticed the same problem this week - iMovie and my Samsung DV camera used to work great. I can transfer video from the camera to iMovie, but now when I go to return the video back to the camera iMovie reports that it could no longer communicate with the camera.

I've tried several things including trashing iMovie and reinstalling it from a backup, repaired disk permissions, and even the highly discussed open GarageBand play a few notes and close. I've made sure that the "play through camera" option is checked, I've even tried to reinstall iLife - even that doesn't go well - with no applications open, the installer tells me that I have one of the iLife applications open, that I need to close the application that's open, and that I need to start the installation again.

Nothing seems to work. If I have my camera connected and I open iMovie, the application crashes after a few seconds without my clicking on anything. I admit, I have a G4 Cube which is being pushed to its limits, but it seems the problem is more associated with either iMovie or a firewire/OS/firmware issue. Any people at Apple care to respond?

I love making home movies and I loved iMovie. Apple, please help!

Yeah, it seems like QT may be the problem - I'm using QT7.0.3. I read a bunch of posts last night that pointed towards this being the problem. So, I went with the reverse install that Apple has brought out- going from QT7 to QT6.5 - seems kinda strange that they would bring out a reverse update, which to me (and others in the discussion group) suggests they know there are problems. After downgrading my QT, I still have the same problem. I then went back and reinstalled QT7 - iMovie is a little more stable than it previously was (fewer crashes), but I still cannot return video to the camera.

I know there is a connection there for return because every so often an image would show up on the camera, but as soon as I hit "play" in iMovie, the image turns to a blank screen. I'm thinking of upgrading to iLife 05. Does anyone know if that might fix things?
