Streaming Live Internet Radio through ATV

Thanks in advance as I'm new to the forum. Having been unable to find an answer to this question in the form history - here goes...

iTunes easily runs a live radio feed from a far away station (via the internet) that can be played on my iMac. The iTunes program displays the website as if it were playing a song. Apple TV does not recognize this - but finds/plays my iTunes library normally. Is ATV simply not designed to afford this feature?

if you are talking about the radio streams that exist in itunes, then you need to add the stream to a playlist, and then sync the playlist to appletv.

you then play the playlist in appletv and it will play the radio stream.

In iTunes, make a playlist for the stations you want to listen to. That playlist should be available on your ATV. I use it for streaming Radio Paradise.

(It's early and I haven't had any coffee so I may have left out a step)

Most excellent! Now if only I could get the Apple TV to show me the song title and artist.

Maybe we can expect an upgrade at some point that allows us to browse directly for stations, but I'm happy now!

Just found this - THANKS!

I'm streaming the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest through my Onkyo with nice ProLogic IIx sound.

Next weekend won't need the WWOZ stream; I'll be there, but this is great for now.
