Time capsule and canon pixma mx700, printer "missing"

Hi everyone,

I have a time capsule and a canon mx700 multifunction printer. A month ago, everything seemed fine, I could print wirelessly, etc. (Then we packed up everything and moved to a new house.)

Today, which is probably the first time I've tried to print anything since moving, my print job wouldn't print, and I tried to remove and re-add the printer on my macbook. It only showed up as a fax, via bonjour... no printer.

My immediate suspicion was the recent upgrade to the 7.4.1 firmware. When I started checking things out, I noticed that in airport utility, on the printers tab, I have two entries:

A blank field, with a sub-entry "Canon MX700 series" and
"Canon MX700 series FAX" with a sub-entry "Canon MX700 series FAX".

I tried putting a name in the blank entry, but upon updating the time capsule it vanishes. My suspicion is that somehow it no longer recognizes that the printer is usable as a printer.

I tried rolling it back to 7.3.2, but that didn't make a difference.

The memory card readers show up as a disk in airport utility, and the log display shows the memory card reader "disk" getting unplugged and plugged in.

The time capsule definitely detects the device.. but it seems to not pick up the printer capability. A month ago, this was working fine. I'm about out of ideas. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

-Rod
