10.3.4 update posted 2009-03-19?

What's up with the 10.3.4 update that was posted on March 19th on the OS X downloads page?:

Weird.

2.0GHz and 2.66GHz 20" iMacs, 1.83GHz Mac Mini, 550MHz PB Ti, 400MHz PowerMac G4, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

This is an old update to go from 10.3 - 10.3.3 to 10.3.4. I think Apple must have made a change to the page, hence, the Mar 19, 2009 date. I don't know why thet even have this page since Panther users shoud update to 10.3.9.

I think it is good they keep intermediate updates online. There are times when people don't want to update to the most recent version because they have some mission critical software which only works with OS versions up to a certain release. Yes, you can say they should get the software updated too, but not infrequently the software may no longer be under development.

iBod, a poster in another forum, solved the mystery. The page was revised on March 19, 2009. Here's the page before the revision.

Looks like the SHA signature and some of the links to the end of the article were cleaned up.
