Can I transfer DVR recording to MB Pro

Question

Can I transfer DVR recording to MB Pro

I have cable TV and a DVR cable box supplied by Comcast. Is it possible to transfer a program I have recorded on the DVR to an external Mac, such as my MB Pro? This is for private, non-commercial use. Comcast has no information of how to do this.

15" MBPro 2.4 GHz; PB 15 Alum G4, 1.5 GHz; 20" iMac C2D; MiniMac G4, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

You will do better asking in a Comcast forum since your question really has nothing to do with Leopard but is simply asking how to record from a DVR to a computer.
If you get a Pinnacle TV stick, you can record directly onto a computer.

I tried a Google search, but found nothing that covered how to do this with a computer. There was one about using a DVD recorder, but the recording had to be done in real time and somewhat iffy, leaving me not wanting to buy a DVD recorder to try something that might not work.
