Stills made from movie

I am new to Apple Discussions,and have just bought my first Apple Computer(iMac G5).I transferred a movie into imovie and then made about 60 stills from it to add at the end. I then transferred to idvd,but would like to use some of the stills I made to add to the themes.I tried dragging some pics to iphoto but no luck. Is there a way to put the stills into iphoto or somewhere else,so I can put them into themes.

Welcome to the discussions.

You should be able to drag your pictures just like that to both iDVD and iPhoto.

In both iPhoto and iDVD there are menu options for adding pictures (instead of dragging).

Come to think of it: Did you actually create a file (JPEG or PICT) or did you merely create a still clip for use only in iMovie? (You would need to create an actual file to use in iDVD and/or iPhoto.)

Further to Lennart's advice - you have 2 choices when creating stills in iMovie. The first is what you've done (Edit>Create Still Frame). The 2nd is to save a frame (create a file as Lennart suggested). To do this click on a still that you have already created (or a frame within a video clip), go to the Menu item File>Save Frame, select the format as either JPEG or PICT and the destination folder (say Desktop). You can then import to iPhoto in the normal manner from the destination folder (drag or Add To Library). Similar for iDVD.
