It is not the G3. I bought it from a friend (who bought from a friend)so there is no book. Says iPhone when it comes on, but the actual phone itself does not have an apple on it. Looks like the 4gb ( I think) but not entirely.Very bottom of touch screen has a house, an envelope, a book, a telephone and a music note symbols in white actually printed on the face of the screen. Below that, the round circle ( with small square in it) for navigating also has green phone reciever on L side and red on right to use to call or hang up as well as the red is to turn on and off. A dot is above each of these and are navigational tools. If I could figure out what this phone is I could order the manual and actually figure this phone out. Thanks.
If it's got pick up and hang up buttons either side of the "Home" button in the middle it sounds more like the LG or is it Samsung phone (both look like carbon copies of the iPhone)the iPhone only has a single "Home" button and thats it on the face everything else is accessed through the touch screen
It looks similar to those phones, but the hang up buttons are all connected to the main circle. ALso it has 2.o M for the camers and says Bluetooth on the back. For whatever thats worth. How would it say iphone( the whole logo and all) when it comes on and goes off? Can that be downloaded somehow? If I lived near an apple store I would just take it in. I did just take the back off to see if the inside actually said apple and it dosent. It has a model # sticker though, should that say apple? I dont really care if it is a knock off so much as I care about finding the book to it...so I can use it. Thanks a bunch for all your help already.
iPhones only have an Apple logo on the back and when power on the just display a silvery apple symbol (you can download themes for lots of different phones that will make the menus look very similar) Also the iPhone is sealed you can't open any of it at all (shouldn't be able to take the back off) what's the model# on the sticker say?
I'm about to go home for the day but if the phone has a model# on it post it up and i'll check it tommorow for you (i work at a Telco so should have the details probably got the manual in a *.pdf in fact) otherwise an image of the phone would be enough to ID it
The left most picture is the Original iPhone and the pictures to the right are the 3G. If your phone does not match these pictures, it's not an iPhone.
