double sided printing konica minolta 350

Hi
At work we have a newtorked (IP) Konicam Minolta 350 printer. I have installed the latest drivers and can print to the printer, but the option in layout to print double sided is greyed out and I don't know how to select it. I do quite a bit of .pdf printing for my residents and prefer to print dbl sided (environment and all that blah blah)
Anyone got any suggestions?
Any help much appreciated..

You may need to enable the duplex (two-sided) option. In the Print & Fax pane, select the KM in the printer list and then click Options & Supplies. In the new pane select the Driver tab and look for a duplex option to enable.

If there isn't an option to enable it you may find that there is another menu in the print dialog to select two sided, such as Finishing.

I believe I have the 350 driver installed on a Mini at work for a previous posting. I will confirm the setting later today.

I had a different model of KM MFD that I downloaded previously, so I downloaded a C350 driver for 10.5 from the following US web site just now.

http://onyxftp.mykonicaminolta.com/download/SearchResults.aspx?productname=350#3 01

The package is called KONICAMINOLTA 350150.pkg.

Ran the installer then created a dummy IP print queue. Browsed to the KM350 model and added. A window appeared asking for confirmation of the accessories installed - the duplex unit was already checked.

Opened a document in Preview and selected to print. Selected the Finishing tab and there was the Duplex option, already ticked. Obviously couldn't test this but at least the option was present in the print dialog.

Hope this helps,

PAHU,

Similar problems here. I have a KM Bizhub C353 that had duplex printing. I've bought a new machine and now it no longer works.

I downloaded the Pi3505e ps mac104 v022us.dmg (is that right? I wasnt sure from your link if that's the file you were suggesting). When I add the printer via IP, I have four printer option menus, "Model", "Paper Source Unit", "Finisher", and "Punch Unit". Duplex printed is not listed, nor is it in any of those menu items. Any ideas?

Hi there,

The driver I tested and commented about was the one listed as being for 10.5.

Looking at the one you downloaded, it appears to be for a different model (the 3505). You can see from the top of the page displayed by KM that any model with 350 in its name was displayed. It is possible this 3505 doesn't support duplex. If you download the driver I have shown via the link above then you can set duplex in the Installable Options menu.
