Wheel does not work

My wheel does not respond, so I'm stuck on one playlist. Has this happened to anyone else? I've used my iPod a lot over the past 3-4 years, so I'm wondering if it is time for a new one, or if there is some trick out there. Thank you for any help you can give.

PC, Windows 2000

Hey there,
Have you tried toggling the hold switch on and off? Also, keep trying to reset the iPod by holding the "Menu" and "Select" buttons until the Apple Logo appears.

If still no luck, it may be a good idea to restore the iPod. Keep in mind though, that restoring the iPod will delete all the files and music from your iPod, so make sure they are backed up on your computer first. The Article below provides step-by-step instructions on how to do this. Best of luck. Hope this helps.

Try giving the reset command with the two-button combo press (the buttons to press depends iPod model).

If it is frozen so you can't do anything, then just leave it alone and disconnected until it powers OFF by itself. Then press a button to turn it ON, or connected it to power if the battery is drained.
