iWeb Sites Unpublished

I updated iWeb today.

When I went into iWeb to publish a page, I found that all sites were red now. I thought that was odd for an update. So, after updating a page, i published that site (I have several). All was well. I published the next site. But, as it started to publish, the first site changed back to red. So, I published that one again, and as it updated, the second site changed back to red.

I am using MoblieMe and have had no such issues in the past.

What is going on?

iWeb 09 3.0.1 upgrade publishing problems here too. I have only one web site www.culturequake.org, I changed a couple pages only and when I selected the "Publish Site Changes" option, the entire site turns red and iWeb now tries to upload the entire site which fails. If it wants to do that for some reason during an upgrade, OK, Up maybe recall how far it gets before it times out or gives you an error message, so it does not try to upload the whole thing the second, third, four times you try to upload just your changes.

Also, is the "Publish to a Folder" option gone now? I am publishing to MobileMe, and that menu option has been missing from File menu since iWeb 09.

You are great in finding solutions for all of us here, Roddy. Thank you for that. If they had people like you working at Apple this thread would be non-existent.
However, separate domain files won't solve all problems. Yesterday, I added one small post to one of my iWeb blogs telling people my blogging continued at an other Sandvox site (yes, I couldn't wait for an iWeb bug fix) and again images were misplaced, items which I hadn't touched at all. So each time you do something in iWeb you have to check all your sites and blogs for damage, repair it as best you can, and then publish. My iWeb sites are dormant now. The action now takes place with Sandvox. I have requested a refund from Apple and expect their answer today.

I can confirm the exact same behavior. Did not have this problem before the update. I too am publishing to MobileMe, and have several sites.

For me, the sites did not turn red until I got the message saying that publishing would continue in the background. I had added one photo album and updated one page in only the first site.

And yes, publishing Site 2 will make Site 1 red again, then as soon as Site 3 is published, Site 2 will go back to red. At least they publish, I guess... =)

Hi everyone,

In a weird way I'm happy to hear other people are having the same issue, as annoying as it is. What changed? I have been using iWeb all day and things seemed to go belly up in a matter of one publish late this afternoon. I have not done any system updates today. This must be an Apple server side issue.

Let's hope Apple fix it ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW why have they taken away the ability to publish ALL SITES with one click! It is annoying that they take something away in an update. Thumbs down to Apple for this one!

John.

Hold on.. I had the same problem last night where everything turned RED with a small change to a site, but this happened before I undated the software.. This is NOT due to the software upgrade.. I went ahead did the upgrade, and the entire site turned Red again.. No difference..

This is a mobileme issue I believe.. I went through **** when I upgraded to iweb 09, but I got through that.. If I learned anything, the information regarding whether or not a page needs to updated is stored in mobileme, not in the iweb software.. I know this because they had me test my site updates with a temp mobileme account, and the account dictates the update status..
