internal or external HD for using FCP

I am buying new MacPro. As you know that it can hold 4 internal hard drives. I wonder if it is good idea to use internal hard drive to use FCP? Better to use external HD?

Please... guys... !

Deafie... why would you need internal or external drives... this should be the 1st question.
Are you editing HD / HDV / DV...
Do you use one machine? (editing on field and finishing at studio)
Do you have a "price problem"?

I think this should be the first things you should ask yourself... because (and don´t get me wrong!) you´re asking us if it is necessary to raid them (?) ok, get a lot of 500gb as Shane did and use them as individual drives... with external case or some "ice-cream sticks" (this one for you Shane 🙂 )

It has gone through a steady progression...now I have an external homemade box...

But yeah, the new MacPro gives you internal spaces...and 2 connections on the logicboard. so you can get adapters to move your system drive to this empty slot.

Beauty.
