connect iphone to computer to access 3g internet ??

Hey,

Can you connect the iphone to your computer so that your computer can use the 3g internet broadband connection?? If so how do you do this? What software do i need?

Also, I'm using and windows XP laptop. thanks for the help!

This is called tethering, which is not supported at the present time. It looks like this will be supported with firmware update 3.0 to be released this summer, and doubtful this will be included by AT&T with the iPhone's unlimited data plan. For phones that support tethering, there is an additional monthly charge for a tethering option.

I know this is OT but does anyone know of a phone or phone with plan that supports tethering??

AT&T does not include tethering with phones that support tethering with the data plan for the phone only.
