Keyboard Malfunction - PLEASE HELP

So the other night I fell asleep listening to my itunes and woke up the next morning to a dead battery, big deal right? wrong! I plugged my charger into my laptop and let it recharge for about 20 minutes before i turned it back on. It took longer than usual to boot up, in fact it automatically started up in "safe boot" mode. After a while, it loaded to my desktop and to my dismay i realized 9 of my keys fail to work. The keys (a, q, 1, f1, f11, f12, fn, ctrl, and delete) worked that night before, but for some reason since then do not work. I have never spilt any form of liquid on my laptop so that is not the cause, and i do take good care of it. I have tried everything i know to fix this, but the only way i can get it to type those keys is using the keyboard viewer which gets very annoying after a while. If anybody has a suggestion, I am all ears. Thanks.

oops, sorry. The trouble shooting ideas i first tried came from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1381 and simple tasks such as turning the computer off, letting it charge fully, and restarting.

As for the Hardware test, it found no problems. I tried both the normal test and the extended test.

If nobody has anymore suggestions then I'm going to probably take it in to an apple store today to have it get checked out, I'm just afraid they are going to have to replace the keyboard.
