I'm getting kernel panics when I have a lot of programs open, but while I still have plenty of inactive memory left per Activity Monitor. It may happen with several Firefox windows open, but it seems like it happens when there are less than a dozen browser windows open and I was not currently using Firefox. I have gone through all the KP fixes per Apple instructions including the painful task of installing and reinstalling OS X 1.5.6. I hope in Snow Leopard there will be more fixes to kernel panics (and a better version of Spotlight).

Here's the KP log:

Any solutions and/or HD/SW areas to look for answers? I did a hardware test and used Rember to test RAM as well.

Is there a third party app that helps ID the KP source?
