Iphone not displaying Album art

Holy crap, this SAME thing JUST happened to me!

I restored my iPhone yesterday because something unknown happened, so I got around to putting 2,200 songs on my iPhone today, and I just noticed that none of the album art showed up. They showed up the previous time I put songs on my iPhone. The album art DOES show up in iTunes when I Get Info a song from my iPhone>Music.

I have the same issue.. Added music to my iphone over the weekend and checked all album artwork before transfering the items to my phone however there is no artwork showing.. Also a few albums i had previously stored on the phone seem to have lost their artwork. I'm left with a black square where the artwork once was..

I think it's a iTunes 8.1 problem. With previous versions, the Album Art option was there. In 8.1, it's missing:



Hopefully, they'll add this soon, because there's no way in **** I'm syncing all my songs again.

I've had the same issue recently. I transferred 4 or 5 albums that contained album artwork yet the artwork did not show on my iphone.

The next day I transferred a playlist to the iphone and the cover art for those albums filled in on the albums that didn't contain artwork.

Now I have a bunch of albums with incorrect artwork.

i received my new iphone the other day as my last one died on me luckily o2 insurance covered it.
but back to the point have put all me songs back on to my iphone and half the album art work isn't there or just doesn't display properly.

but i have just put some stuff on my ipod 30gb video white and it works fine and displays it all fine

Whuts goin'on with this problem why cant apple resolve this!?

1- Im havin' the same problem where i have albums with covers yet on landscape some are not showin' at all!

2- On portrait view i see the album list example ( The Doors ) i click on a track turn the iphone onto landscape mode i see the album but its under another artist?

3- I stop the track on portrait mode go back to landscape to browse through the albums & i cant find ( The Doors )album???

4- We spend to much money on apple's gadget we need more in return from apple!!!

I agree totally - This is supposed to be state of the art equipment and it cannot perform a simple basic function. Its one thing when the album art from burned cd's or pasted from the net doesnt show but when you pay apple through i-tunes for music (including artwork) and i doesnt display that is just plain ridiculous. Sort it out apple.

Unfortuantely I cannot offer a solution either but can only empathise as I have the same issue; iTunes shows album artwork but the cover-flow either shows the the music note marker, a blank (black space) marker or in some instances does not even register the album at all even though the music is on the iPhone.
I contacted Apple support and they suggested a "reboot" of the phone which did not resolve it and then gave up....

Mine went black too, the new albums I've purchased after the icons became black are normal. I hate it! I can't get it to normal and Apple doesn't have a solution. I'll just run to an Apple Store and ask for a new Iphone, the warranty should cover this.

I tried to delete the covers, replaced by others, tried different sizes, and no luck, the funny part is that after so much touching I can see the cover in the flow , but not when the song plays (black screen) and in other cases, the image shows only 20 % of the top part.

Iphone 16 gb and Itunes 8.1.1.10

Here's the strange thing: When I drag an album to the center, either the wrong artwork or no artwork appears. When I drag it left or right of center, the correct art appears! It's maddening. Apple needs to update its firmware with a fix for this problem.
