I really want to be able to print documents while on the go.

I have several devices which I could use. I have:
1. HP Officejet H470wbt Mobile Printer (CB028A) with Bluetooth module
2. Apple iPhone 3G
3. Sony Notebook with WiFi and Bluetooth

I could print photos directly from iPhone to HP printer with the help of HP's iPrint, but it's only for photos... Is it possible to print document attachements directly from my MS Exchange synced Mail on iPhone to a mobile printer? Or I will need to buy a GSM adapter for a notebook? It would be so great to use only iPhone and a mobile printer...

HP DC7800, Windows Vista

Cannot be done at this point. Perhaps once 3.0 is released this summer, with expanded Bluetooth options, it may be possible.

FWIW, you're not completely limited to photos with HP's iPrint, in that you can take screenshots (quick, simultaneous press of home and sleep/wake buttons) of notes, emails, etc., which are then saved to the Camera Roll and can be printed like a photo. But, printing of documents, etc., directly from the iPhone is not possible at this time.

Thank you. I need to print documents on A4 paper, and iPrint is limited to something like 10x15cm. HP should do something about it...

Anyway, of course I could buy a GSM modem for a notebook and print documents from my notebook. But, would it be possible to use iPhone with Bluetooth to connect to the internet on My notebook? Or if possible to get an email on iPhone and somehow transfer the attached document to notebook?

HP iPrint prints just fine to 8.5x11" (letter size) paper on my HP OfficeJet J6480. On printers with multiple trays and photo paper loaded in one, it should default to that tray. But if there's only one tray and it has letter-sized paper, it should print to that.

These are not currently possible. Tethering (using the iPhone as a cellular modem) will be supported in the v3.0 software - but, your carrier would also have to allow that, and may charge for it. Transfer of email attachments is not currently possible, and may or may not be possible i nthe future - that's not known at this point.

Thank you - I definitely will try this, but would it be possible first to remotely receive a picture from my office?

The App "Print & Share" should do the trick. It lets you print directly from the iPhone to any printer connected to your computer using a wireless network. It was just recently featured in one of the Apple commercials -- "There's an App for that!"
