iTunes Freezes when iPhone Connected to Computer

I had exactly the same problem and it was also solved by deleting all podcasts from the iPhone. These we podcasts that I had downloaded directly to the iPhone from the iTunes store.

Apple should fix this.

I have this problem but cannot find how I can delete podcasts directly from the iphone. All of my podcasts were downloaded by iTunes.

I have deleted all of my podcasts from the iPhone but this has not helped - iTunes freezes as soon as I plug in the iPhone to the USB.

Same problem with me. As soon I as connect the ipod touch my iTunes stops responding. It has been more than 2 months that I can't sync ipod.

Ally my podcasts downloaded by iTunes and I have deleted them. Problem not solved. Anyone with any suggestions - I have gone over to MobileMe for contacts and calendar synchronisation and that seems to work perfectly. I just want to be able to sync my music and podcasts which you can only do through connection to the PC.

Its ridiculous that they cant fix this.

This is really frustrating - I get the same freezing - I have no podcasts on my phone - and never have had.

The phone used to sync OK but now it just jams up itunes completely - I dont think Ive changed anything and Ive tried all of the remedies suggested by Apple

The Apple site also says this is solved - it would appear that it isnt

i've never had any podcasts either on my iphone....updated itunes to the latest version earler today, worked fine initially, but now whenever the iphone is plugged into the comp, itunes freezes...

AAARGH!

I never had any postcards on the iphone, only on the ipod. Deleted all. Removed iTunes completely. Deleted library. Installed iTunes again. Works fine (well, in apple terms) till the iPhone gets connected. Then it freezes.

Another question, if anyone knows, do the garbage-makers Apple provide any direct support, or is it all through I-have-the-same-problem-too boards where one can (possibly) get any clues what the problem is?

Deleting all the podcasts on my phone totally worked! Excellent.

For a moment I thought I got it. Perhaps it will work for someone else.

Start iTunes with iPhone unplugged.
Go to preferences, Devices, and delete backup.
Restart iTunes, plug the iPhone in.

Mine worked only for one sync, on the second try it froze up again. Amazing junk!.
