I am new to Garageband, I tried the tutorials and messing around with garageband to find my answer, just wanted to check with others first, but is there a way to use already made songs, ex Flow Rida "Get Low" imported from iTunes into Garageband? I want to slice songs already made into my own mix. I thought Garageband would be able to do this.

Thanks.

If the song includes DRM, it won't let you import it from iTunes into GB.

However, if a song includes DRM, iTunes will let you burn a CD.

And GB can import any song from a CD.

So if you connect the dots...

And then you just drag from iTunes (or Finder) into the GB Project Timeline window.

ok, so I recently updated to Leopard and kept my old version of GarageBand. Its version 1.1.0, and I was wondering how I could update it...I tried downloading GarageBand 2 and when I try and install it, it says that there isn't a valid version of GarageBand in Applications.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

    Hi, Matti,

I'm also having a similar trouble: cannot import, or drag/drop an mp3 into GB, either from desktop folder or from iTunes. GB behaves as though is is 'importing' but then nothing appears on the track timeline.

Thanks for any tips you have to offer.

    Love my new Mac,
