Sync hangs on Calendar

Ever since I upgraded the iPhone software to 2.2.1, sync with Outlook 2003 hangs on the Calendar sync.

All the other syncs work fine and it does actually sync the calendar but then iTunes just stays on "syncing calendars with..." (and the iPhone: "Sync in Progress") and I have to manually cancel the sync.

I have the latest version of iTunes (8.1.0.51)

Anyone have any ideas?

iTunes > Edit menu > Preferences > Devices tab, click the Reset Sync History button. Then try syncing again.

I have the same exact problem with all the same specifications (pc, Outlook 03, iTunes ver.8.1.0.51). Did "Laith61" ever get his problem resolved?? BTW, this started for me coincidently after loading and joining mobileme... I have since removed it from my pc and iphone, but the calendar freeze problem still remains. Yes, I've rebooted... synced w/o syncing to calendar then trying to resync w/the calendar. It still hangs...
