Elgato eyeTV hybrid

I'm considering getting an Apple TV. I just got a high end indoor antenna to pull in digital broadcast, but have not yet hooked it up. I'm wondering if anyone is using an Elgato eyeTV hybrid or similar device with their Apple TV. Do you plug the Elgato into the Apple TV or your computer? Do you like how they work together?

I've never had cable and now that digital broadcast is coming I'm thinking I won't need it.

you can't hook it up to the appleTV directly.

i use the MigliaTV DVR, it's hooked up to your computer.. and you just set up your schedule to record your programs in an appleTV compatible format (i'd be surprised if they didn't have an appleTV preset) and then transfer the recordings to iTunes.. i think EyeTV might even automate this for you... then when you turn on appleTV the programs should be waiting there for you depending on sync setting and/or if you stream they should be available.

I have Apple TV and Eye TV hybrid. The Eye TV hooks up to your computer and cable jack (from the wall). It does not hook up the Apple TV at all. You have the option of exporting the Eye TV recordings to Apple TV (iTunes) and the next time you sync or stream your iTunes updates to the Apple TV your recordings will be there. If you receive HD channels from the wall without a cable box (the big 3 networks and usually a few locals), it will record and playback in HD. Otherwise, it records in analog. But, either way, you can stream both to the Apple TV and it will work.

Hope that helps.
