ParentPath vs ParentHandle

I'm writing an iTunes U manager and I don't quite get the difference between ParentHandle and ParentPath for doing an AddCourse, AddSection, etc.

It seems like everything can be referenced with a handle. Is ParentPath just a convenience attribute if you know the exact path to your destination section?

What happens if you use both ParentHandle and ParentPath? Do you get a ParentPath relative to the ParentHandle?

Thanks!

Yes, everything can be referenced from handles. But parent paths are not just conveniences ... they are useful in certain contexts in themselves. For example, when working with XPath and your site XML, you might get the path to an element and then construct a web service request around that.

In any situation where you specify both a path and a handle, the handle will always be preferred ... the path will be ignored.
