Problem with footnoting (at the end of the document)

I write mostly large documents, with lots of endnotes at the end. I have two questions:
1- how can I choose the type of font and font size for my endnotes? Currently, they are always on helvetica, size 10 even if the main body of the text is in a different font.

2- Once an endnote is written, how can I automatically jump back to where I was in the main text? For the time being, I have to roll back with my cursor all the way to where I was which is long and tedious. They must surely be a way to jump back as in Microsotf Word.

#1 is easy. Temporarily create a sample of the desired text font/style. Highlight/select the sample. Open the Styles drawer and move the mouse over the existing footnote style. Click on the triangle that appears on the right. Choose "Redefine style from selection...". Your existing footnote text will assume the new style.

#2 has no direct solution. Press command-F to invoke the Find dialog, type the word at (or one near) the footnote reference into the search window. It beats scrolling over a long document.

#2--I don't know that this is a good workaround, but it may help---temporarily set the document to use Footnotes and use Insert | Footnote. Then you won't have to scroll, as you'll always be on the same page. You can easily switch from Footnotes to Endnotes in the Document Inspector when you are pretty much done writing, and Pages (in my brief test in '08) will convert them to endnotes.
