Have recently deleted Outlook on my Windows, and since everytime I try to sync my Iphone it says there is a problem sending calendar data. Is there anyway to stop syncing the Calendar? Thanks
I don't have access to iTunes right now and if you sync your calendar through iTunes (I don't, I use Exchange), I think you can turn it off there. With your phone connected, in iTunes, select your phone and then select the appropriate tab and look there. It's probably a checkmark next to the Calendar selection.
At the same location where you selected Outlook to sync calendar events with in the first place - under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences at Calendars. Deselect sync calendars.
I have been in to settings, then mail, contacts and calendars, scrolled down to calendars, but the only options are for new invitation alerts or time zone support. I cant find anywhere in my iphone that says it is synced to a calendar or anyway to change it
Have just been to the tab when my phone is connected to itunes, and it says no supported calendars can be found. That is not a problem. However everytime it finishes the sync a tab flashes up saying, itunes could not sync calendars to your iphone, as an error occurred whilst sending data from the iphone. How can i stop it trying to send data?
In your iPhone Settings, after going into Mail, Contacts, Calendars, +don't scroll down+. From the top of the screen, select the Account that your calendar is in (you might only have one). In that screen, you might be able to turn off your Calendar.
If you can't do it on your iPhone, you should be able to do it in iTunes as Allan has described.
Now you tell us! 😉 We were assuming you were using a calendar based upon your original post. Are you syncing contacts? If so, from where? Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo,
ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
