Hello, I was going to buy an M-Audio electronic keyboard to my computer. I know that it uses USB to power it, but how would I connect it to my computer so that I can use it to compose music on Garage Band or Logic Express. I don't have any MIDI output, so you I have to buy a firewire interface? I know I can't install a MIDI card into a PCI slot, because there aren't any on the iMac. I'm currently running the previous iMac. It's the second in the 3 aluminum iMacs. Thanks for the help!

I would think that it all works through the USB port. Then go to Apps>Utilities>Audio MIDI Setup and add a new device. There are instructions to help in the Help menu of Audio MIDI Setup.
I was at the Apple Store, They have an M-Audio set up and it's powered and connected just by the USB port. It functions the way I wanted it to. Thanks for the help!
