ITunes Access Privileges Error?!?!

Hello,

I'm in desperate need of the vast knowledge and experience of all you experts...
Been receiving this error message every time I try to sync my iPod with my iTunes folder or my Wife's.

Attempting to copy to the disk " iPod" failed.
You do not have enough access privilege for this operation.
iTunes could not save to you iTunes Music Folder because you do not have write access. Check your permissions on your Music Folder and folders in your Music Folder, then try copying this file again.

This has got me really stumped?!?!?!?!
The permissions on the "iTunes Music" folder for Admin and Everyone are Read + Write????
(unknown) is Read only.
Not sure what else to do.
I've done the 5 R's on the iPod and even wiped the drive clean.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance.

Even though the outmost iTunes Music folder has Read & Write access, even one folder within a folder within a folder could have Read only. Select the Music folder, Get Info, make sure it's set to Read and Write, THEN apply to all enclosed folders. On your OS, you should click the little Gear symbol to get the "apply to all" option.

Thanks Diane for the response and idea.
I didn't know where the "apply to all" option was so I tried this...
Tried to sync after "apply to all" and the sync still resulted in the device removal due to write access problem and the iPod being forced into restore mode!?!?!
Any other ideas or possibilities?

I'm having the same problem. I've reset all the permission and also repaired permissions using disk utility.

i have the same problem. Bought my ipod yesterday and now can't sync. I can, however, put one song on at a time. However, if i try to put on a song that the ipod doesn't "like" I get the same error and the device immediately ejects itself from itunes. If I go to the song that was rejected for lack of access on my directory, I find that I have write and read access.

help?

For those of us affected, this is a crippling issue for iTunes/iPods.

Did you make sure that Read AND Write permissions are applied to ALL enclosed folders within your iTunes Music Folder?

I've put all music folders at read and write for all. Still get the "There was a problem downloading "Song Name." You do not have enough access privileges for this operation. Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again. I had just downloaded a movie not 5 minutes earlier without a problem.

I'm having this too. iTunes is completely broken now. Based on some Googleing I tried deleting the genius file and that's just made things worse. I think this has only been happening since the 8.0.2 update.
